A new gem in Owego! Saying this as someone who lives in Manhattan and eats halal on the regular, this tops all of it. The white sauce is creamy and herbaceous with a healthy amount of yogurt and dill, the salad is fresh and crispy, the lamb is tender and not mysterious, and the rice alone is incredibly tasty. You get hummus, black beans, and multiple types of fresh and pickled veggies. The service is so friendly and welcoming. The masala fries are delicious, hand cut, and fragrant. The hot sauce is HOT. Not a bad thing to say about this place. BYOB! Prices are extremely reasonable with generous portions. I couldn't even finish my lamb platter. Will return.
We were passing through this area. And we found this wonderful place absolutely by accident! It exceeded all our expectations. Firstly, the restaurant is open until 12 am. Secondly, the staff is very friendly, smiling, they will tell you everything and help you with all your questions. Very inviting and friendly atmosphere. Thirdly, portion size. THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE. Everything is delicious, fresh, high quality. We liked absolutely everything. Guys, thank you so much and we wish you good luck in business! We will definitely come back again.
The food here is fantastic! We tried the Chicken Wrap, Chicken Platter, and French Fries. Everything had great flavor and you get a ton of food. A great addition to Owego and some of the best food in the area!
I Ordered the lamb plate, it was delicious. Too much to eat in one sitting. Service was fast and friendly.
We stopped to charge our car in Owego and walked over for dinner and I'm so glad we did! We had the over rice platters and they were delicious. Super friendly folks AND a back patio over the river to eat on! A great stop.
The best food I've had in owego. The employees do not understand speech very well but are very nice and it's not at all to the point you cant order. This is a very good place and the food is very flavorful. Idk what this white sauce is but also get that on your food
Food was great and the service was excellent! We went with a big group and ordered the chicken, lamb, kofta, and falafel platters, chicken wings, a burger, and loaded fries—everything was really good. All of our children liked what they ordered, which says a lot. The man working was extremely friendly, patient with our large order, and very generous with the portions. The dining area is basic, but clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back.
Great food, interactions with the customers and service were great! We will be back and also trying the other locations when we are out those ways!! We ordered a double cheeseburger, nuggets, fries and mozzarella sticks and it made me feel like I made them at home. Cooked great, ingredients fresh and made to order! Cannot wait to go back and try more!!
Stopped in for lunch today and everything was excellent! I had the chicken gyro and my wife ordered the lamb gyro and both were flavorful and well prepared. We shared the cheese fries and baklava for dessert, which were just as delicious. Great food, great service, and we’ll definitely be coming back!
Super delicious food! I got the fish platter. The rice was very flavorful and the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. They also made the fish without the batter for gluten free (gf)option. The white and green sauce were good and not spicy. The chef was very nice! Super good and fair price for a lot of food. New favorite spot!
